Bookkeeping
Monthly close, reconciliation, and clean books ready for tax filing.
Bookkeeping that makes tax season uneventful
Clean books are the foundation of every business return — and the difference between a calm March and a stressful one. Monthly maintenance catches issues while they’re still small and gives you reliable numbers to make decisions on.
What’s included
- Monthly transaction categorization
- Bank, credit-card, and merchant-account reconciliation
- Vendor and customer ledger maintenance
- GST/HST tracking and quarterly / annual return preparation
- Monthly P&L and balance sheet delivered to your portal
- Year-end tax-package and GIFI-ready trial balance handoff straight into your T2 corporate return
- Direct line to your bookkeeper for category questions
Who it’s for
Small businesses doing 50–500 transactions per month who want their bookkeeping done by the same firm that prepares their tax return — so nothing gets lost in translation between two providers.
Frequently asked
What software do you support?
QuickBooks Online (preferred), Xero, and Wave. We can also work from a clean spreadsheet for very small operations, though we recommend graduating to bookkeeping software once monthly transactions exceed about 75.
How quickly are books closed each month?
Books for the prior month are closed by the 15th of the current month, with a reconciliation report and short narrative summary delivered to your portal.
Can you catch up old books?
Yes. Cleanup engagements are common — we'll take you from years of unopened bank statements to current and reconciled, then transition to monthly maintenance.
Do you handle payroll?
We don't run payroll, but we coordinate with Wagepoint, Payworks, Ceridian, ADP Canada, or your provider to make sure payroll, source-deduction remittances (CPP, EI, income tax), and ROEs post correctly into the books each month.
